An Orphan Sunday event starts with a single person who shares God's passion for orphans. Often they invite a few others to join also, together building a simple idea that fits their own community and calling.
"Orphan Sunday at Morningside Baptist in Sioux City, Iowa, not only became a catalyst for us to launch an orphan ministry -- including a new adoption and orphan care fund --but also spurred many church members to consider adoption, including a church elder whose family will be adopting this year as a result." --Jim Reynolds, Morningside Baptist
An event can be large or small. The goal is simply this: to see hearts stirred with the plight of the orphan-and what we can do in response. See below for event ideas.
